Brushed Gold Anodized Aluminum Sheet
HC Aluminum’s brushed gold anodized aluminum sheets are produced using a tin-salt electrolytic coloring process. Feature an anodic oxide layer with a thickness of 5–25 μm, 1060, 3003, 5052 aluminum alloys, thickness 0.3 mm to 6.0 mm.
Brushed gold anodized aluminum sheets are created by combining a physical brushed texture with an electrolytic coloring anodization process. They offer a refined metallic aesthetic and a decorative gold finish, while retaining the inherent advantages of aluminum—lightweight and corrosion-resistant. As a specialized anodized brushed aluminum sheets manufacturer, HC Aluminum employs a fully automated, continuous anodizing production line, ensuring precise control over texture, oxide film thickness, and color tone. Our products are suitable for a wide range of indoor and outdoor applications.

We offer brushed anodized aluminum sheets in alloy grades 1060, 1100, 3003, and 5052, available in tempers such as H14, H24, and H32. Thicknesses range from 0.3mm to 6.0mm, with a maximum finished width of 1500mm. Products can be supplied as cut-to-size flat sheets or in coils. The brushing process utilizes continuous precision grinding with 80–600 grit abrasive belts, capable of producing various patterns—including straight-line, random, and cross-hatch textures. The texture depth is controlled between 10–50μm, with a surface roughness (Ra) of 0.4–1.2μm. The entire surface features a uniform texture, free from broken lines or color/shade variations.
Anodizing is performed using a 15%–20% sulfuric acid electrolyte at an operating voltage of 15–20V, creating a dense oxide film with a thickness of 5–25μm. For interior decoration, the AA10 grade (10±2μm) is typically used, while the AA15–AA20 grade (15–20μm) is recommended for exterior architectural applications. A gold finish is achieved through an electrolytic coloring process using tin salts, where coloring particles penetrate uniformly into the micropores of the oxide film. This ensures a color consistency of ΔE ≤ 1.0 within the same production batch. A high-temperature sealing process at 98°C is subsequently applied to close the micropores, further enhancing resistance to weathering and staining.

Anodizing increases the surface hardness from the base material’s HV60 to over HV200. This provides superior scratch and wear resistance compared to spray-coated or transfer-printed gold finishes, ensuring the surface remains free of scratches during routine cleaning. Weather resistance varies by film thickness; AA15-grade products can withstand 1,000 hours of neutral salt spray testing without corrosion and show a color difference of ΔE ≤ 1.5 after 400 hours of accelerated UV exposure. The finish offers a color retention lifespan of over 10 years for interior use and 5–8 years for exterior use. The adhesion between the oxide film and the substrate achieves a Grade 0 rating in the cross-cut (grid) test, ensuring no cracking or peeling occurs during subsequent bending or stamping processes.
Based on extensive production experience, gold anodized brushed aluminum sheet products are particularly prone to batch-to-batch color variation and "white edges" (exposure of the base metal at the edges). To address this, we have implemented an in-line spectrophotometric color-measurement system that samples color values every 20 meters. Simultaneously, we optimize the current density distribution along the edges of the panels. This keeps color variation across the entire sheet within a range imperceptible to the human eye, significantly reducing the risk of visible color circlerepancies during on-site installation.
The brushed gold anodized aluminum sheet is most widely used in architectural decoration, including interior and exterior curtain walls, feature walls, column cladding, ceilings, and cornice detailing. The gold, brushed-metal texture elevates the overall aesthetic of a structure, while the high weather resistance makes it well-suited for demanding outdoor environments. Elevator cabins and escalators represent another key application area; the brushed texture effectively conceals fingerprints and minor scratches, ensuring a clean appearance even under long-term, high-frequency use. This material is also widely used for home appliance panels, high-end audio enclosures, and luxury display cases, where its metallic finish enhances the perceived value of the products. Other applications include signage, decorative furniture panels, and elevator control panels.
HC Aluminum offers custom color matching based on client-provided samples, with a range of gold-toned finishes available—including champagne gold, rich gold, rose gold, and antique bronze. We also provide comprehensive secondary processing services, such as slitting, punching, and bending. To prevent damage during transport and fabrication, all products are covered with a protective PE film; each shipment includes material certification and inspection reports. Standard specifications can be delivered within 7–10 days. For bulk orders, we support various trade terms, including FOB and CIF, and currently export to over 30 countries and regions worldwide.
